The 1st Ever Research Faculty Research Excellence Award

Ed Zaron just received the first research faculty research award for work on modeling coastal processes, particularly tides, as it relates to the dangers posed by climate change and his highly successful grant writing. The PSU Office of Research and Strategic Partnerships also awarded Dr. James Pankow the 1st senior faculty research award and Dr. Steve Thorne the 1st junior faculty research award. Each award comes with a $1,500 honorarium in recognition the originality, impact and productivity of their research accomplishments and there importance in advancing the University’s mission.
